State Official Resigns over Claims of Nepotism in Terekeka

Terekeka information minister resigns, accusing the appointed governor of the controversially created state of nepotism. He claims too many positions were awarded by the governor to his family members and associates from his home area.

Modi Lomindi Ajuangico, Information Minister in controversially created Terekeka state, has resigned his post citing corruption and nepotism by the appointed Governor, Juma Ali Malou.

The former Information Minister claims that the Governor has not only appointed his brother to the state parliament, but has distributed key roles within the state government to his immediate relatives and close associates. Mr Ajuangico believes this has created a power imbalance in the state, with the governor’s home area being over-represented at the expense of other parts of Terekeka.
