Unknown gunmen hijacked a vehicle travelling from Torit to Juba on Monday, confirmed Police authorities in Torit.
The attackers went along with one passenger and all the travellers’ belongings, including the clothes they were putting on, Radio Emmanuel reports.
Justine Kilopas, Torit Acting Chief Inspector of Police says the assailants stopped the taxi carrying fourteen passengers in Lolere and ordered the driver to drive off road.
He said the passengers were traumatized and decided to return to Torit.
Mr Kilopas says vehicles travelling from Torit to Juba have been stopped, requesting for convoy to provide safety.
